2019: ANN vows to retire Buhari
…promises $4 trillion economy

The Presidential candidate of the Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN), Mr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, has said he would retire President Muhammdu Buhari next year by defeating him in the presidential election.
The presidential candidate also promised to revamp the Nigeria economy to the turn of $4 trillion for the next 10 years.
Olawepo-Hashim, who spoke after obtaining his presidential nomination forms, said the party would immediately launch the New Economic Development Programme (NEDP), which he said would return Nigeria’s economy to the path of prosperity.
The nation’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) had to $568 billion in 2014, the highest in Africa, but entered recession in 2016 and has been experiencing slow in growth.
However, the ANN presidential candidate said, the nation’s economy can witness a great turnaround within a space of 10 years with careful planning and implementation of NEDP.
He stated that the ANN will grow Nigeria’s GDP from the present $510billion to $4 trillion in 10 years.
According to the aspirant, who is the Chairman of Oilworld, an oil exploration and Energy company, with the NEDP, the Per Capital Income (PCI) of the average Nigerian would move between $16,000 to $18, 000 within 10 years, adding that Nigeria would then be at per with middle-income countries like Malaysia, among others.
Olawepo-Hashim also stated that the NEDP would attract an estimated $2trillion to infrastructure sector within 10 years, adding that the programme would create jobs from manufacturing, industrialisation as well as linking up industries with solid minerals and agricultural sector.
On 2019, he stated that the ANN believed that President Muhammadu Buhari has attained the peak of his capacity, adding that the party would help give him a befitting retirement.

He said: “I respect President Muhammadu Buhari as a father. He is our baba and we are his children. I will not insult him because we don’t insult people as a party and where I come from. But the truth is that President Buhari needs to go and rest. ANN is practically prepared to give him a befitting rest.

“I am therefore better placed to bring the country back together and most assured that I can get the job done given my record of accomplishment.

“I will restructure the economy from a dependent one to a self-reliant one, by investing in iron and steel, research and development and other critical sectors of the economy.”

National Chairman of the party, Pastor Emmanuel Dania, who received Olawepo and his supporters, said that the ANN was coming to deliver Nigeria.

He said: “We are coming to deliver to Nigerians a New Nigeria.”

He assured Nigerians that the party would not engage in act of vote-buying which he said was becoming the order of the day at elections.

Money Heist: N100 Naira Note In A Netflix Movie Montage

One of the most interesting movies on Netflix- La Casa de Papel (Money Heist) has the Nigerian One Hundred Naira note in its opening montage. You can clearly see Obafemi Awolowo's N100 face at 00:48- 00:50. The producers must have a reason why they have chosen the Naira for the montage instead for example of the Spanish Pesos. I felt quite proud though seeing the Naira note shown in the montage. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yzh2cfbrxE
